What is the Adopteen Camp-Conference?

Most adoption conferences focus on equipping adoptive parents. Adopteen is the only Camp-Conference in the world focused exclusively on adoptees, imagined entirely by adoptees. At Adopteen, you will have the opportunity to share in the lives of the amazing individuals who make up the vibrant adoptee community.

The Adopteen Camp-Conference provides an environment that promotes exploration of self within community. It is a five day, four night event highlighted by small and large group activities, meaningful reflection, fun excursions, and a variety of other activities that will make your Adopteen experience unforgettable. It is a rare opportunity for you to develop closer relationships with fellow adoptees and continue your own journey of self-exploration with adoptees from all over.

It’s the time of your life. Let us prove it to you.

Adopteen Minneapolis Transportation

Please provide your travel itinerary to us as soon as it is finalized. We will provide airport pick-ups and drop-offs from Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. We will coordinate pickups to pick up as many campers as we can in one trip, so you may be asked to wait a while, depending on your flight arrival time. All airport rides will meet campers at Passenger Pick-up and drop-off at Departures. We will not be able to park and meet campers inside the airport or take campers through security for drop-off. For this reason, we are unable to accommodate any campers traveling with Unaccompanied Minor status. Please see Unaccompanied Minor for more info.

Suggested Arrival Times

Drive-in drop-offs can arrive as early as 12:00PM, July 25th and as late as 1:30 PM.
Flight arrival times can be as early as 11:30 AM, July 25th and as late as 1:00 PM.

Suggested Departure Times

Drive-in pick-ups can leave as early as 11:00 AM, July 29th and as late as 12:00 PM.
Flight departure times can be as early as 2:00 PM, July 29th and as late as 3:00 PM (The last airport drop-off will leave Middlebrook Hall at 12:00, so campers with later flights may be waiting at the airport for their departure)

What if my parent wants to stay close by?

As you know, our Adopteen events do not provide any activities for parents. Don't get us wrong; We love parents! We just don't want them hanging around. ;)

If parents do travel to Minneapolis with you, they should check out our list of Nearby Hotels for hotels and our Things To Do for activities in the area! We hope to have Adopteen- exclusive hotel rates up soon as well!
