CCAI

CCAI

Ranked #1 by the China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption (CCCWA) amongst the 178 international adoption agencies and countries around the world working with China, CCAI has helped unite more than 11,800 Chinese children with their loving families since 1994! CCAI is a China-focused adoption agency, but is also dedicated to finding families for children in Haiti, Latvia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, and domestically within the United States.

At CCAI, we believe that the completion of an adoption is just the beginning of our co-responsibility with adoptive parents to offer life-long emotional and cultural support to our children. Children coming from their heritage and culture to a completely new environment may face unique challenges as they adjust and grow. A responsible adoption agency must work shoulder to shoulder with adoptive families to practice the utmost sensitivity to our children’s emotional and cultural needs. Helping our children become educated about and connected with their root culture and heritage, while encouraging and appreciating their cultural curiosity in practical ways can have lifelong benefits.

From the Joyous Chinese Cultural Center, which offers traditional Chinese cultural education to children ages 2 to 16, and XpressYourself, an ideal support group for pre-teens, to Adopteen, a youth program run exclusively by the young adult adoptee community for young adult adoptees to seek and find community, celebration, and friendship, and Heritage Tours that take our children back to their homeland, CCAI is dedicated to the total well-being of each and every adopted child as they grow into adulthood.

My Village Camps

My Village Camps

My Village Camps is a day camp for kids K-6th grade whose goals are two-fold: to make kids feel like they belong and to make them feel important. My Village Camps incorporate daily enrichment activities to encourage kids to create, innovate, dream and learn during the process. This tiered approach is focused on providing exemplary service to kids and parents while delivering on what we describe as “the magic” - that moment with children’s eyes light up with joy. If we can do this over and over again, it’s a successful day at camp!

My Village Camps and Adopteen both hope to cultivate and inspire the community around us! As My Village Camps' Founder, Maryann Hernandez is excited to be able to contribute to such an important program as Adopteen.

The Hula Hoop Girl

The Hula Hoop Girl

Caroline Sánchez is the creator and founder of The Hula Hoop Girl, an Embodied Movement Meditation Practice that guides women to connect to their own natural born rhythm while feeling empowered to self-resource and self-express through the transformational power of body play. Caroline's life work, grounded in women's health and women's advocacy, began at the young age of 21, when her beautiful mother, Grace, passed away from breast cancer just three months after her diagnosis. It was at that moment that Caroline began her soul work of women’s empowerment.

Caroline is a practicing oncology nurse for over 11 years and learned about Adopteen from a fellow nurse! She is so excited to be able to contribute to the community of empowerment and celebration that Adopteen has so beautifully cultivated with its programming, for both young women and young men.

Joey Wilder

Joey Wilder

My names Joey Wilder. Let me start by saying that being a Health & Fitness Specialist wasn't ever what I had envisioned growing up. Throughout my tenure in this field, I've had the pleasure of publishing many articles regarding nutrition, working with clients from all walks of life - from children to get their black belt; to stay-at-home moms; to elderly for quality-of-life & even professional athletes. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that there's an unending amount of information out there - but many don't know how to piece it all together. My goal is to simplify a majority of information surrounding Nutrition, debunk a few "myths" & have fun while we do it! Fitness & Health can be fun if you're given the right tools & steps for success.

I'm thrilled to support and be a part of this amazing organization & look forward to passing on my knowledge & workout expertise!
